I fucking nailed it! So now everyone can come lay accolades on me, and try to steal a little bit of my face :D.
The play is called 'Scrooge Revisited', and I will be playing Marley (usually a small part, but in this adaptation, he is on stage almost the entire play), and a few other bit parts. I am so excited I could shit myself with the joy of an infant.
If any of you are in the Seattle area this winter, you are invited to come watch me act the shit out of this play. It will be awesome!
I havent acted in years, and have missed it so dearly. This is the start of a brand new life, and I couldnt be happier about it... I just wish it had come sooner, when there were more people in my life that would have appreciated the change in me. So be it, all things happen for a reason.
Thank you Cleveland, goodnight.

break my legs
I had an audition today. After stumbling over a monologue I had minutes previously had by heart, I left feeling like I didn't do very well. I was optimistic about pursuing other roles and keeping this acting alive in me again, so I wasn't upset, I just sat down and immersed myself in animating. All of a sudden the phone rings, and it is the director, saying she wants me for callbacks! They still have a whole other day of auditions, so I was expecting that call days from now, not just a few hours later, but she said they 'enjoyed' me, so maybe that means something excellent.
I am so glad I finally did this, I've been whining about missing doing it for years, without doing anything about it, and now I see how easy it can be. Even if I don't get this role, I will get one eventually, and soon enough I'll be acting my ass off. That will be sweet!
I'm very excited about the whole thing, and even though I was so nervous I could have died, it was way so much more than worth it. If I do get it, you are all invited along to see it :P.

Another collaboration with the good people over at Worth1000
Allow me to present, Flash Exquisite Corpse - Volume 2
The hand I had in this was starting everyone off with the same keyframes, then stitching the whole thing together. The only part of animation that can be attributed to me, is the last section, the one with the toaster in it. Enjoy, and as always, feedback is appreciated! :D
My first quiz in years... someone stay my hand lest I post my pic on hot or not.
I feel justified, because it is cute:
I'm back again, of a sort. Its been a long time, save for those sporadic posts recently, but a good person has reminded me that through Live Journal, we are immortal. Even years after I finished posting the first time, It still comes up as nearly number one in a sherpa google search. That same conversation last night (two nights ago now, but time is useless) has kind of inspired me to come back around. While I still think LJ can be a horribly dangerous place that wants to nip the ends of my fingers off, I am less wary than ever. So I post, with gusto, and wait to see what happens.
Not much news on this front of mine, other than that I have been commissioned to create some kind of cheesy Bush flash based on The Geto Boys 'damn its good to be a gangsta', and will be posting it here as soon as possible. There are a few other less cliche things I'm working on with others, but they are coming along excruciatingly slowly, through no fault of my own. Well, not all of them, anyhow.
Perhaps this wasn't post worthy, but as I recall, none of it ever really was, so what the hell.
Now lets just see how well I keep it up ;)
For now, two pictures of Thailand:
I have organized a flash collaboration, and the first volume of the project is complete. I did one part of the animating, drew all the inbetween frames, and then threw the whole presentation of the raw movie together. Everything else is the fault of someone else ;).
Please enjoy the Flash Exquisite Corpse - Volume 1
I thought I should share some of the work I have done in the past while, maybe one of you will like it enough to spread it 'crost the web... that would be cool.
Here are some cropped screenshots:
And here, the film itself:Time Freezish
by Josef Allen (aka Me).
Hope everyone can enjoy this, and feedback is ALWAYS encouraged. :)
If you decide to actually put this link somewhere else, I would really appreciate you letting me know where. I dont mind at all, I just want to know who is clicking the link to watch it, and where. (if anyone reading this knows of an automated way to track the link, please, please, please share the knowledge? Thanks in advance!)
BOO. Is anyone left to be frightened by that?
